Sovello Solar Panels
Sovello Pure Power Series are manufactured in Germany to the highest of quality standards. Their peformance in weak light is outstanding, and helped them to the best results in the "Energy Yield 2008" tests, outperforming 16 competitors.
The anti-reflective coating of these panels not only have superb optical properties, but also produce a better self-cleaning effect. When it rains, the film of water spreads evenly over the glass, efficiently washing off dust and other dirt.
Sovello have recently introduced an upgraded performance warranty for their solar modules, guaranteeing that after 25 years they will still retain at least 85% of their rated output. This reflects their confidence in the 130 quality tests each panel undergoes before being installed on your roof.
Altec Roof Mounting Systems The flexible Altec system allows for a variety of individual designs, with either vertical or horizontal mounting. Constructed of aluminium and stainless steel, they are resistant to corrosion, ensuring longevity of the system.
Your Layout Our systems are supplied in arrays of 12, 15, 16, 18 or 20 solar panels, each panel measuring approximately 1m x 1.6m. The panels can be mounted vertically or horizontally, and if necessary, one row can be offset from the others by one panel to accommodate any architectural features.
12 panel array mounted vertically in 2 rows of 6
Alternative mounting of 12 panels horizontally. Configurations of 3x4 or 2x6, horizontally or vertically, are all fine.
Any configuration can be mounted with a row offset by one panel, left or right, for particular roof shapes.
15 panels are configured 3x5. 16 panels 4x4 or 2x8. 18 panels 3x6 or 2x9. 20 panels 4x5 or 2x10.
In every case. the panels can be mounted vertically or horizontally, and with a one panel offset, if necessary.
We'll help to determine your optimum layout.
How does solar PV work?
PV solar panels contain an assembly of photo-electric cells, made from two semiconductor layers, usually silicon. When the panel is exposed to light, the energy of the absorbed light is transferred to the semiconductor, in turn knocking electrons free which form a current. Metal contacts at the top and bottom of the PV cell allow that current to be drawn off.
The DC output of the solar panels is fed to an inverter which converts it to an AC current, suitable for domestic use or to be fed into the grid.
It all works best on sunny days, but it's only light which is needed - not heat. So a solar installation is able to generate electricity all year round.
No. We only install free systems and don't want to confuse or mislead people. There are some unscrupulous companies that offer free solar as a way to create 'sales' opportunities.
Free Home Energy Limited will claim a clean energy tariff for the electricity generated and for electricity supplied back on to the grid. You can use as much of the solar electricity generated as you want instead of electricity supplied from the grid.
We will provide you with a notification or letter that is approved by the council of mortgage lenders to post to your mortgage company. Most will approve our installation within a week or two.
Carry on using the electricity. We are fully supported for the entire duration of the contract by Soventix and their parent company Sovello who manufacture the panels we install.
We only employ Micro-generation Certification Scheme (MCS) approved installers and maintenance personnel. Free Home Energy Limited are responsible for all the maintenance and repair.
We employ MCS approved installers that were professional Roofers and Electricians before they were MCS trained. In the unlikely event there is some damage to your roof while we are working on it we will repair it at our cost.
We would like you to check the meter once a year but we install a remote monitoring system so we check it's operating correctly and we read the meter this way too.
